As our fully-appointed oval hole A-model, the MT2 O includes a high-gloss lacquer finish and full bindings. Built with select Red spruce (Adirondack) and eastern maple, these mandolins produce a warm, rich, and vibrant tone that is well-suited for celtic, old-time, classical, and jazz styles.

MT O vs MT2 O

While both models share the same body shapes and dimensions, the MT O comes standard with an Engelmann spruce top, fully-satin lacquer finish, and simpler appointments. The MT2 O features an Adirondack spruce top, all-gloss lacquer finish, and upgraded appointments, such as ivoroid binding on the back and fingerboard and our Flourish peghead inlay.

MT2 vs MT2 O

While both models share the same body shapes, dimensions, and standard appointments, the MT2 features f-holes on the top, while the MT2 O incorporates an oval hole design and voicing. The MT2 O accentuates the bass and low mids, adding warmth and openness, while the MT2 offers more cut and chop.
