71 Pine - NAMM 2026
71 with Torrefied Pine Body, Torrefied Maple Neck, and La Primas
Description
Featured at the NAMM 2026 show, this 71 Pine was built as the prototype for an upcoming special limited run of only six instruments (with the possibility of more in the future pending materials availability). Its pine body and maple neck are both torrefied, resulting in an extremely lightweight instrument that clocks in below seven pounds on the scale. It also adds an addictive openness and resonance for the player.
A set of Lollar La Prima pickups brings the fuller midrange of a humbucker, smoother string to string balance, and the desired noise cancellation, while the smaller design and lower output adds a clear and bright top end. The machined Rutters bridge is their “chopped” version and sports brass saddles, while the Davies knobs feature a push-pull on the tone for series/parallel voicings.
The scale length is 25.5″ with a set maple neck, six-in-line peghead, and Kluson Supreme tuners. The visuals are rounded out with a custom bakelite pickguard, pickup rings, and truss rod cover.
