Based on guitars first introduced around the same time as the OM, the C10 models offer a leaner alternative with their narrow waist and small upper bout, which result in a punchy, focused response.  The C10 T balances this clarity with our lightweight Traditional build and voicing, which add warmth and openness.  Traditional aesthetic appointments, such as wood purfling and rosette, gold MOP Collings logo, and more, are the finishing touches.

While all three models share the same body dimensions, key differences are outlined below.

• Our standard series instruments (C10 non-T) offer the classic Collings voice, which features shimmery highs, a punchy midrange, a tight and clean low end, and maximum headroom with a quick response.  The scale length is 25 1/2″ and the standard neck profile is our C shape with 1 11/16″ nut width and 2 3/16″ string spacing.  Standard instruments also offer a wider range of custom options than Traditionals.
• Our Traditional series instruments (C10 T) offer a slightly looser, more “broken in” feel and tone compared to the standard models, featuring a rounder high end and fuller low midrange, along with our Traditional aesthetic appointments, such as gold MOP peghead logo and custom wood purflings.  The C10 T has our rounded Vintage Now neck profile with 24 7/8″ scale length, 1 3/4″ nut width, and 2 5/16″ string spacing.  It also features an ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer body finish, abbreviated soundboard graft (tongue brace), and unique neck construction designed to complement the looser feel and voicing.  Due to the vintage-inspired vision for these guitars, Traditional instruments are offered with limited custom options.
• Our C-00 is strongly vintage-voiced, less refined and shimmery with a honky, punchy midrange, along with period-appropriate appointments, such as a closed-in sunburst, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, and cut-through saddle.  The neck profile is a full, thick V shape.  Custom options are limited.
