The MT O combines our affordable satin finish and simplified appointments with the same quality construction and tone woods as our fully-appointed A-style models. With a carved Engelmann spruce top and maple back and sides, the MT O produces a rich, woody tone that one would expect from a professional quality mandolin. The oval sound hole accentuates the bass and low mid response while providing a warm, open tonality that is rich in overtones.

MT O vs MT2 O

While both models share the same body shapes and dimensions, the MT O comes standard with an Engelmann spruce top, fully-satin lacquer finish, and simpler appointments.  The MT2 O features an Adirondack spruce top, all-gloss lacquer finish, and upgraded appointments, such as ivoroid binding on the back and fingerboard and our Flourish peghead inlay.

MT vs MT O

While both models share the same body shapes, dimensions, and standard appointments, the MT features f-holes on the top, while the MT O incorporates an oval hole design and voicing.  The MT O accentuates the bass and low mids, adding warmth and openness, while the MT offers more cut and chop.
